DMP user groups

Last modified: Tuesday June 27, 2023.

DMP user groups allow you to control which of your DMP users can access each Aware deployment.

  • First, create a DMP user group and add the required users.
  • The customer then maps that DMP user group to an Aware User group in the Users tool in Aware.

Admin users of Aware control which DMP user groups can access their deployment. By creating DMP user groups and coordinating their mapping to Aware user groups, you and your customers control which members of your organization can access deployments and for how long.

  • A user must have the Partner Super Admin role to create user groups and assign users to them.
  • You can have multiple user groups within your organization, and users can belong to more than one user group.
  • The name of each user group within your organization must be unique.
  • For more information on managing DMP access from within Aware, see How to: Enable or disable DMP access.

User group visibility

The members and properties of a user group are private to your organization. However, every deployment within your organization will display the name of each user group in the DMP user access settings in the Aware Users tool. If your organization has sub-organizations, you can choose whether a user group is visible to them and their end customers.
