Receive notifications and remotely view video and alarms from your Alta Aware deployments on your iOS mobile device.

To receive notifications on your iOS mobile device from your on-premise Alta Aware deployment, you must ensure your deployment has Remote access enabled.

With the Alta Aware mobile app, you are no longer tied to your desk for these tasks. Securely receive notifications about alarms and anomalies on your cellular device and view the accompanying video for these events.

You can also view the video feeds from any cameras connected to your Alta Aware deployments.

Getting started with the app

To use the Alta Aware mobile app for iOS devices, you must already have a user profile set up for the Alta Aware deployments you want to monitor, with at least the following permissions:

  • View live video
  • View historic video
  • View devices in video view
  • View alarms

To start using the Alta Aware mobile app for iOS devices:

  1. From your Apple iOS device, navigate to the App Store and search for Alta Aware.
  2. Install the App.
  3. Connect to your Alta Aware deployment: enter your server name (for example, aware-test-server) in the Deployment name field.
  4. Tap NEXT.
  5. Enter your Alta Aware Username and Password.
  6. Tap SIGN IN.

13232 An issue where, if you do not have the iOS Mail app configured, you could not send the Alta Aware mobile app log bundle to Support has been resolved by allowing you to download the log bundle so that it can then be attached to an email message using your preferred email system. iOS app 2.10
