A vulnerability has been resolved in Alta Aware.

See: Reference: Security advisories

5.3.6
14783 An issue where after restarting a deployment, Aware systems were not accessible has been resolved. 5.3.6
14636 An issue where an Avigilon Ava Quad camera only retained 16 days of recorded video has been resolved. 5.3.6
14484 An issue where cameras could not be added to Aware when using new credentials has been resolved. 5.3.6

Ava—700

A vulnerability has been resolved in Alta Aware.

See: Reference: Security advisories

5.3.4
14311 An issue where audio recording was disabled after every system restart has been resolved.

Please check each Configuration profile in the Devices tool and ensure the Record audio when or the Record audio alarms setting is correctly configured for your deployment. See How to: Create Configuration profiles for your devices for more information.

5.3.4
14182 An issue where, in some cases, Aware continued to attempt to connect to access control servers after they had been removed from the deployment has been resolved. 5.3.4
14152 An issue where, in some rare circumstances, the permissions for new users were not synchronized between all systems has been resolved. 5.3.4

14139 An issue where, in some deployment configurations, Aware did not correctly remove all connections from Disruptive Technologies cloud has been resolved. This issue meant that all available connections were used up and new connections could not be made. This in turn led to no sensor data being received from Disruptive Technologies sensors. 5.3.4

Known issues

During testing, we have found the following issues in these software packages:

Table 4 – Known issues found in these releases

Reference Issue Software
13738

Issue: When adding third-party cameras to Aware using the Automatic protocol option, Aware might not be able to successfully add the camera.

Workaround: If a third-party camera fails to be added correctly, try again using the Onvif protocol option.

Aware
13697 Issue: When you download audio recorded from some third-party cameras, the audio stutters when played. In addition, when listening to the audio from some third-party cameras via Aware, high levels of static noise are present. Aware
Due to changes we have made to the way audio is recorded and replayed:
  • Users of the Alta Aware mobile app for Android version 2.9.0 and earlier will hear the audio recorded from Aware 5.0.3 and later at a higher volume than before.
  • Users of the Alta Aware mobile app for Android version 2.9.1 and later will hear the audio recorded from Aware 4.9.7 and earlier at a lower volume than before.
Alta Aware mobile app for Android
13171 Issue: If you export the footage from an alarm that includes audio, the clip might stutter when switching between uninteresting and interesting video on some video players. Aware
12738 Issue: If you have a map in Map view that includes inactive cameras, heatmaps might be the positioned incorrectly on the map. Aware
12292 Issue: Recorded audio is not being played back from cloud backups. Aware
12274 Issue: If you export a video clip that includes audio recordings, the volume of the audio is very low. Aware
12255 Issue: You cannot currently associate an Avigilon Ava camera connected to one Cloud Connector with a third-party camera with inbuilt or connected speaker attached to another Cloud Connector, or associate an Avigilon Ava cloud-native camera with a speaker. Aware
12196 Issue: In some circumstances, a camera may lose its overlay settings during an upgrade and the overlay might not show until you have toggled it off and then re-enabled it. Aware
11515 Issue: When you edit any of the counts, for example, to add a new camera to an existing counts area, when you save the changes, the counts are briefly set to 0, before displaying the correct counts total. Aware
10410 Issue: When you export video that includes footage that switches from one resolution to another, there is a small gap between the sections of video. Aware
10087 Issue: When you apply a maximum streaming quality to cameras connected to an Ava Cloud Connector, the setting is ignored, and the maximum available resolution is used. Aware
General Issue: If third-party cameras do not support the multiple streams or the GOP profiles required by the Aware video management system, these incompatibilities might impact the accuracy of the Ava analytics. Aware
