Receive notifications and remotely view video and alarms from your Aware deployments on your Android mobile device.

To receive notifications on your Android mobile device, you must ensure your Aware deployment has Remote access enabled.

With the Avigilon Alta Aware mobile app, you are no longer tied to your desk for these tasks. Securely receive notifications about alarms and anomalies on your cellular device and view the accompanying video for these events.

You can also view the video feeds from any cameras connected to your Aware deployments.

Getting started with the app

To use the Avigilon Alta Aware mobile app for Android devices, you must already have a user profile set up for the Aware deployments you want to monitor with, as a minimum the following permissions:

  • View live video
  • View historic video
  • View devices in video view
  • View alarms

To install and use the Avigilon Alta Aware mobile app for Android devices:

  1. Install the Avigilon Alta Aware mobile app on your Android device, using the usual Play Store work-flows.
  2. Connect to your Aware deployment: enter your server name (for example, Aware-test-server) in the Deployment name field.
  3. Tap NEXT.
  4. Enter your Aware Username and Password.
  5. Tap SIGN IN.

During testing, we have found the following issues in the release.

5276 Issue: When viewing the feed from multi-source cameras, either no thumbnails are shown, or the thumbnails from the wrong source are displayed.
5264 Issue: Occasionally, when there are multiple notifications, clicking on the older notifications results in a spinner being displayed on the login screen.
5262 Issue: When viewing the feed from a panoramic camera, the view is compressed into a square, rather than a rectangle,
5210, 5280 Issue: Depending on the logged in user, their roles and assigned permissions, and the configuration of the rules, you might not receive notifications on your mobile devices.

Issue: When using the app to view multiple Aware deployments, you might experience intermittent issues when signing into and out of each deployments.

Workaround: After signing out of one deployment, close the app, then reopen the app and sign into the next deployment.

4815 Issue: Occasionally, when attempting the minimize the device group, it is unsuccessful.
4630, 4879 Issue: Several issues have been seen when viewing the app on a OnePlus 7 Pro device.
