How to: Set Alta camera Network & Services settings locally

Use the in-built software to set your Alta camera network settings before connecting it to your (Undefined variable: General.0g) Aware video management system.

The Network & Services settings enable you to define the network configuration for your camera.

Prerequisites

Ensure you have connected and logged in to the relevant camera. See How to: Log in to the Alta camera software.

Task

1. Select Network & Services from the menu.
   
2. From the NETWORK SETTINGS area, choose to use DHCP, or to set a static IP address for the camera.
   If using a static IPv4 address, define the relevant settings:
   • IP address
   • Subnet
   • Gateway
   • DNS 1
   • DNS 2
3. If required, disable SSH to the Avigilon Ava cameras device.
4. View and configure information about your NETWORK.
   This includes the connection Status, the available options for connection Type (speed) and the Status (actual speed) of the network connection.
5. Click Apply to save your changes.
